Will I lose weight through Pilates exercises?
Pilates - taught correctly and authentically - is a great cardiovascular workout and burns plenty of calories. However, getting to the right pace can take a bit of time depending on how fast you learn. Once the exercises are in your system you can work out at a dynamic pace that can replace your other cardio activities if desired. Until then it is recommended that Pilates be combined with your regular cardio work to keep the calories flying and your heart beating strong.
